Ranch Water—a mix of tequila, lime juice and soda water—has long been a West Texas staple. A few years back it started to make its way out of dive bars into highfalutin restaurants in Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston and Austin. Today it’s one of the best things you can find in a can! Here are a few of our favorites: 


Born in the back of a food truck on the University of Texas campus, co-founders Brian Murphy and Quentin Cantu formed Ranch Rider Spirits on a simple premise – making delicious, authentic seltzers that feature quality spirits, premium ingredients and no added sugar. Yummy! 


Epic Western partnered with YETI Capital to bring the “genuine article, the real McCoy of ranch waters to the market. It’s made with 100% Blue Agave Tequila, sparkling mineral water, lime and salt. To sum it up…is high quality, higher ABV, 10% ABV means 3 oz of tequila per can and a premium brand! 


If you’re looking for an easy drinking version, try Lone River Ranch. This is a light and refreshing version of the classic, but doesn’t include real tequila. Great for hot weather or for by the pool as a tasty hard seltzer. At only 80 calories, it’s super refreshing. 

According to PUNCH, when restaurant owner Kevin Williamson found himself adding bubbly Topo Chico to extend the life of his margarita, he discovered a new drink. His Ranch Water has now been on the Ranch 616 menu for 15 years!
