You’ve got the green light 🚦There’s no better time to buy! That was the message from the economic forecast by Mark Sprague, Director of Information Capital, on Wednesday. In a data-packed talk, Sprague gave his economic outlook for Austin. 

  • The market in 2022 started strong. Mortgage rate increases caused slowing sales.
  • 2023 values will remain strong but with less urgency
  • Inventory will be a challenge for the next 3-5 years in both new home and resale markets.
  • Unemployment in Austin remains LOW. The tech layoffs have had little impact in our area.
