I'm Not Panicking, Neither Should You!

I’m on the real estate front lines every day and from my vantage point, the Austin real estate market is incredibly strong. Yes, there have been changes, but that’s good because the feverish pace we were at couldn’t last forever. Here’s what I’m watching closely…


The beauty of real estate is its INDIVIDUALITY. Properties  just two doors down from one another can have two totally different views, different updates, be different sizes and be priced millions of dollars apart. THIS is why GENERALIZATION doesn’t work!!!! Your home is unique, your situation is unique, your price is unique, your ability to sell is different from your neighbor. Prices for quality homes in Austin are STILL the highest on record!


As a rule, the value of stocks can move up and down much faster than real estate prices. That volatility can be gut wrenching!!! At a time like this, real estate can be an alternative to stocks, offering lower risk, yielding better returns, and providing greater diversification. The property had been on the market for 3 days and before we could see it, they received a cash offer to close in two weeks. DEMAND for Austin is STILL strong.
