PRICES STILL UP!
The beauty of real estate is its INDIVIDUALITY. Properties just two doors down from one another can have two totally different views, different updates, be different sizes and be priced millions of dollars apart. THIS is why GENERALIZATION doesn’t work!!!! Your home is unique, your situation is unique, your price is unique, your ability to sell is different from your neighbor. Prices for quality homes in Austin are STILL the highest on record!
THE STOCK MARKET
As a rule, the value of stocks can move up and down much faster than real estate prices. That volatility can be gut wrenching!!! I was scheduled to show a $1M property in Lakeway on Thursday evening at 6:30 PM. The property had been on the market for 3 days and before we could see it, they received a cash offer to close in two weeks. DEMAND for Austin is STILL strong. Not every single home will get that kind of attention, but good properties are still selling and selling FAST! Remember all those multiple offers? Not everyone got a house…
