If you have not had the opportunity to hear best-selling Author Simon Sinek speak, you are in for an amazing treat! I was on a Zoom Call today sponsored by Inc. Magazine that was so powerful, I wanted to share it with all of you.
During the call, Simon dives into the difference between a finite and infinite mindset — it will completely change the way you look at business and goals.
He gives examples of businesses that are doing a great job navigating turbulent times – they’re nimble, responsive and putting customers first!
He also provides some of the most concise and helpful definitions of transparency and vulnerability I’ve ever heard – both of these subjects can be tricky when you’re in a leadership role. For example, “Do you share everything with employees?” His answer is no, but you provide plenty of context for the reasons decisions are being made and enlist the team’s input and support.
He also dives right into the BLM Movement and the role we have – i’ts getting comfortable with conversations about racism. If you can talk about racism, you can pretty much talk about anything.

A: It’s crazy out there! The market is moving and it’s moving FAST!Here are the high-points:
PRICES ARE UP – Continued demand and limited inventory drove home prices up this past month. The median price for residential homes increased 10.7% year over year to $424,050.
INVENTORY IS DOWN, WAY DOWN! – Monthly housing inventory decreased 0.2 months year over year to 1.7 months of inventory.
SALES ARE DOWN – Residential sales decreased 36.6% to 826 sales. New listings fell 18.7% to 1,348 listings, active listings decreased 13.5% to 1,684 listings and pending sales declined 4.9% to 1,216 pending sales.
INTEREST RATES ARE DOWN – For FHA and conforming loans, rates are incredibly low – even under 3% in some cases. Jumbo is still a bit higher and refinances are still pretty backed up.
SUMMARY- This is an incredible time to buy as interest rates are SO LOW! However, it’s tricky because inventory is very low creating competitive (multiple offer) situations in almost every part of town.
It also happens to be an incredible time to sell – a property that is presented well and priced correctly will go quickly, many times with multiple offers and well over the asking price.
