Demand Keeps BOOM Going!

A recent article published by CNBC showed that internet searches for the term ‚Äúhousing crash‚ÄĚ had gone up 2,450% in the past month. A lot of people concerned about a housing market crash. But it’s not going to happen in 2021 and likely not in 2022…and here’s why!¬†

1.  Housing demand has recovered faster than supply.

2. The housing market is still under supplied. 

3. Total active inventory or homes for sale on the market remains 52 percent below this time last year.

In simple terms, and especially here in Austin, the buyers outnumber the houses available for purchase.¬† The strong demand is driving prices up! Now sellers, seeing dollar signs, are feeling a little more encouraged to get into the market and we’re finally seeing a little more inventory hit the market. With new companies relocating to Austin and many people making discretionary moves to the area, the demand side is likely to stay strong pushing the BOOM well into 2022 and beyond.¬†
