We have an official air date and time on the CW Austin for October 23rd at 10:00 AM and streaming on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Roku TV starting the same day. Hosting the American Dream show is a SUPER cool opportunity to showcase the Austin lifestyle – the people, the places, the eats and the real estate!!! This number one question I get asked these days, “Do you think prices are going to drop?” The short answer is, “No.” Here’s why…

1. In 2021 we’ve suffered from one of the lowest inventory levels in the entire country. That remains true today, and we’re a LONG way from catching up. 

2. Population growth. We’re still seeing an influx of buyers from international destination as well as the east and west coasts. Tesla just announced the are relocating their HQ’s to Austin. More companies and more people…more demand. 

3. Eventually we’ll get to the point when growth slows and buyers get priced out of the market…but we’re not there. Right now we are experiencing some typical fall seasonality, but I anticipate we’ll be right back to multiple offers and over-asking prices in the spring. 

We’ll continue to be in a strong seller’s market as we enter 2022 which will mean is highly unlikely that prices will decline in the current environment.

Since 1996, the Texas Book Festival has been a Fall event in Austin. Last year’s event was forced to be all online, but this year’s event is hybrid offering both online and in person session.
