Tips for Selling in a HOT Market

Here are few things to keep in mind when selling in this fast-paced environment.

Don’t Bend the Rules Just because the market is hot, doesn’t mean you don’t have to do the basics. As a seller you still need paint, stage, and do repairs to make your home ready for market.

Price at Market Value Don’t be greedy! There are TONS of very well qualified buyers in today’s market. The best way to put the most money in your pocket is to price fairly and let the buyers determine how much over the asking price they are willing to go. If many buyer see the home as a good value, chances are you will get more offers – competition translates into a higher price.

Have a Plan When things are moving this fast, it’s important to have your game plan in place. It’s very common for homes to sell in one weekend, which means sellers need to be prepared to move quickly. You can do a temporary lease back but buying might take a while so make sure you know where you’re headed in advance of putting the for sale sign in your yard.

On Saturday, March 27th, we’ll be able to support the students whose livestock projects have earned top honors after months of preparation.

We started the Austin Syndicate three years ago with the help of some of the most amazing real estate professionals in the City of Austin. I’m so honored to be part of this growing organization and proud of how we help kids go to college!
