Where Do the Rich Live in Austin?

I always look forward to Austin Business Journal’s annual article on Austin’s Wealthiest Zip Codes. It’s never a surprise that the highest income earners live West of town, but in recent years, they are migrating farther West and even South. This year 78733 (Bee Cave/Barton Creek West) and 78732 (Steiner Ranch/River Place) take the top spots followed by 78739 (Southwest) and 78746 (Westlake). It’s also fun to see 78619 (Driftwood) creep up in the standings. The new Driftwood Golf Club is bringing in an affluent crowd from all over the world.
