Our Favorite Rodeo Brands

And How to Wear Them

RAS REDWINE HATS

Ras Redwine has become a hat maker to the stars, working with the likes of Pierce Brosnan, Matthew McConaughey and others! But you don’t have to be a celebrity to get one. Ras does custom fittings with curated fabrics and feathers, shaping each hat to fit your head perfectly. You might have to wait a little while, but trust us — it’s worth it!

CHISOS BOOTS

Chisos Boots is locally owned and based in South Austin. They craft high-quality, durable cowboy boots known for exceptional comfort, designed to be worn for both work and city life. Founded by ATX-native, Will Roman, they pride themselves on traditional craftsmanship using over 100-year-old machines and ethical, sustainable materials. These are hands down the MOST comfortable pair of boots in our collections!

KREWE SUNGLASSES

This NOLA-based company crossed state lines and now has a home on South Congress. Krewe has become one of our favorite accessory brands. We love their aviator styles, especially the blinker design that adds extra sun protection on the sides. They’re stylish, functional, and just a little bit different, which makes them a staple in our rodeo bags. Grab your own pair at their Rodeo Austin pop-up!

AMERICAN DRIFTER

Vintage western might be our most favorite, it’s a treasure hunt every time! We love Goodwill, trips to Round Top, estate sales or visiting American Drifter for good vintage western. Courtney’s best find this year was a geometric vest that she cinches at the waist to turn it into a dress — best paired with boots, a belt, and a matching hat!

WHY RODEO MATTERS

Beyond the boots, hats, and fun, the real heart of the rodeo is the kids. Supporting 4-H and FFA students through the Rodeo Austin Youth Auction has always been close to our hearts, and there are a few reasons why.

1) It Teaches Responsibility
Livestock projects require daily commitment. These kids feed and care for their animals twice a day, every day, rain or shine. Yes, including spring break and holidays. They learn that showing up consistently matters and that responsibility builds confidence.

2) It Teaches Real-Life Business Skills
From purchasing the animal to budgeting for feed, transportation, and show expenses, these students are running small businesses before they even graduate high school. They learn how to manage costs, make decisions, and understand the value of hard work.

3) It Strengthens Families and Community
No one succeeds in the livestock arena alone. Parents, siblings, grandparents, and friends all pitch in to help care for animals. Not to mention the travel to shows and preparing the kids to be show ‘ready’. It truly takes a team – and that shared effort builds strong families and lifelong connections.

DONATE

The Rodeo Austin Youth Auction is this Saturday, March 28th and hundreds of kiddos have worked incredibly hard to get there.

The Austin Syndicate raises funds to support these students and their projects. Each year, we come together as a community to invest in their futures, and we would truly love your help.

If you feel inspired to give, here is the donation link:
