It’s Giving Season
As we enter the holiday season—and especially this time of Thanksgiving, marked by gratitude and reflection—I’m reminded of how meaningful our work in real estate truly is. We have the privilege of guiding people through major milestones in their lives, and being part of those moments is incredibly gratifying.
I’m deeply thankful for the continued support of longtime clients over the years, as well as for the addition of Rylee and Fintan to our team. They bring a tremendous amount of youth, enthusiasm, and fresh perspective to navigating an ever-changing market.
I’m also profoundly grateful for the Austin community, which has supported me and my business from the beginning. Giving back has always been important to me, particularly through my work with the Travis County Parks Foundation and the Rodeo Austin Youth Auction.
Recently, TCPF hosted a Ranchland to Parkland event on the newly acquired 1,600-acre RGK Ranch Park, and I left feeling inspired by the foundation’s mission to protect parkland, create remarkable parks, and support programming that will benefit generations to come—helping preserve the quality of life that makes Central Texas so special. THANKSGIVING FEASTS
Join Austinites as they take to the streets to celebrate pride and equality. The annual parade begins at the Texas State Capitol, runs down Congress Avenue, and concludes on the Congress Avenue Bridge. Expect show-stopping entertainment, unforgettable performances, and a festival that won’t back down.
TURKEY TROTTING
It’s time for the ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot! This annual Thanksgiving Day 5-mile race and 1-mile walk benefits Caritas of Austin. The event, which started in 1991, is a major fundraiser for Caritas of Austin and its mission to prevent and end homelessness by providing housing, food, and other services. It is now the largest 5-mile run in Texas, with tens of thousands of participants.
OPERATION TURKEY
Operation Turkey is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization that delivers free Thanksgiving meals and clothing to the homeless and less fortunate in Austin and over 20 other cities nationwide. The initiative started in Austin in 2000 and has grown significantly, relying on thousands of volunteers to cook, package, and deliver meals on Thanksgiving Day.
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
ZACH Theatre brings back its popular holiday production of “A Christmas Carol,” mixing Charles Dickens’ classic story with a high-energy, pop-infused performance. The show is adapted and directed by Dave Steakley with musical direction by Allen Robertson. The show runs from Nov. 19 to Jan. 3.
